Self-Publish Authors

I noticed that the prices in e-books are going up especially with a traditional publisher.  Which is why I sometimes read self-publish authors. I have found several authors that write  wonderful books, and I’m constantly amazed at the quality of the work. I am surprise at the criticism the writers get. Some even pointed out that the books are self-publish, but to me, their work is just as good even better. I have read a few traditional publish book that was boring and found some mistake that I could find, and I am still working on my grammar. My new favorite including Kate Ellison. She writes I think a book every three months. The only other person that beats her is Elle Casey, and then there is Shannon Mayer. She also writes a book every two months. Wow! How do they do it? Shannon Mayer was once had a traditional publisher, but now she self-publish, so she has plenty of experience. However, Ellison has never been published, and she still managed to crank a fantastic book every two months. I just love her fantasy. I also read her review about her waiting to be discover. She said she finally got tired of waiting and started the journey of self-publishing after she read Amanda Hocking story. I like what she said about having several traditional house contacts her and she even though about it, but decided not to. She felt it was a little too late for them to come calling. I wanted to smile at that comment. Here is a lady who it all on her owned without the big five backing her up. I can’t say I blame her for not choosing to go the traditional route now that she can. She’s enjoying the control. I am still writing and trying to find my voice, but these ladies inspire me.

Is Netflix Worth It? Part Two

I decided to give Netflix another chance. I still don’t like their price hogging. When I remember Netflix earlier days, I think about the times when I could have DVD and stream movies at the the same time. Those days are gone. Netflix not only charges separate payment for DVD, but how many TV I use their services on, huh? They have change their price twice every two years that I know of which means that 2016 I can expect to see another price jump. However, compare to Hulu it’s the only show in town. Hulu was once one of my favorites, but now they seem to have less and less of the kind of TV shows  that I want to watch. They do have a bunch of Korean shows, but I’m not Korean not that I haven’t enjoyed some of the show. I would like to see more of my favorites, though. Like the western, Virginian. Even the ones they do have, you only get to see about two seasons if you’re lucky. At least if Netflix has a TV show, they’ll let you watch more than two seasons, jeez. Netflix beats Blockbuster because you have to pay for each DVD on the lateral. Truthfully, I think Netflix almost put Blockbuster out on their video rear. They’re struggling to recover with just showing streaming movies, but big deal. If I can’t find what I am looking for on Netflix, I can always join Amazon Prime and I don’t have pay for every movies with Amazon. If Blockbuster want to compete with Netflix, let them offer a set plan. That will throw a wrench into Netflix because Blockbuster does have more of the latest movies. I think they might even have a chance to really stick it to Netflix if they would just work in a monthly plan, so far I haven’t seen anything different in the way Blockbuster does it payment. So I’m sticking with Netflix at least they’re better than Cable One.
