Learning How to Write

I haven’t had a chance to write in my blog for almost two weeks. I have been working on my book, and I'm just beginning to realize how hard it’s to write a book. When I read someone author telling how they started their writing career, I want to laugh because they always make it seems so easily. Well, it sure isn’t easily for me. Sometimes writing is really frustrating. For example, the lady that edits my work wrote that she didn’t see my character going to a refrigerator after she had broken up with her boyfriend. I kind of disagree with her. She has always been right on the money with her suggestion, but this time I just don’t see my character like she does. She suggested that my character should have been crying. I don’t see her like that. She's tough and she doesn’t cry easily. However, that doesn’t mean she isn’t right. I just don’t see it. I have been reading more and more books on writing. Thank God for electronic tablets because I wouldn’t have been able to go inside my closet. My favorite book is plot and structure by James Bell. I have other favorites. I just love Mary Buchan’s books on setting. She really helped me color my setting which is one of my biggest problem beside grammar. I never have enough setting because I just didn’t understand how.
