Acid Reflux and Dementia
I have mentioned in several of my post that my mother has dementia and acid reflux. Her acid reflux has started showing up in her tongue in form of blisters. The blisters were so bad she couldn’t even swallow. Her mouth was filled with white bumps. My mother has had acid for about four years, but it had never bothered her tongue this much. She spends every night trying to suck on ice. When the acid isn’t attacking her tongue and stomach, it goes below in her private parts. I know because she complains how hot she is in that area, so I use Monistat and some medication I got over the counter. I have also taken her to the doctor to have a PAP test, didn't help much. The doctor did give her some pills, but the pills had a bad effect on her dementia. She was even more confused the week she took the medicine. She did manage to take them all, and for a while the burning went away. However, it came back a week later. Thank God, it went away again without her having to take those more pills. I love my mother. I don’t want her to hurt, but it seems like the last three years there have been more and more problems. Also, I took her to another doctor, a neurologist, and he was the only one who prescribe Gabapentin for her tongue. My mother is taking three of those pills now and sometimes it does work, but there are times like Friday night she had stayed up until 4 A.M. in the morning, and I had to go to work the next morning. I’m so frustrated it just doesn’t seem fair it as if Satan is attacking my mother with everything it can throw at her.

Review on Clean Sweep
I’m a fan of
the husband and wife team who created works like Gun Metal, Kate Daniels's
series and my favorite On Edge's Series. I’ve been a fan since I discovered
their work on Amazon two years ago. Although, I’m passionate about the
Edge books. Clean Sweep is my new favorite book. I also listen to the
audio. Both book and the audio version were extremely enjoyable for me.
Clean Sweep does remind me of the Edge but without the kids. There were
children in the book, but they played a minor role. Spoiler alert. The
star of Clean Sweep is definitely Dina and the handsome werewolf name
Sean. There was also a vampire name Arland. He didn’t show up until later
chapters. What I like about this book was the sense of humor. The scene when
she dragged the creature that she just killed to her house
had me laughing. Dina was force to break up a romantic scene between parents
who apparently hadn’t had any time for themselves since the Stone Age using
her magic. When their children knew what their parents were doing, they
complained loudly. I love that they make their scene so real in my
head. I can picture their scenes when I’m reading their books.
Reading and Andrews’s book's way better than some movies I saw. I’m sort
surprise no one has ever express interest in film rights. I love the way they
always seem start with a hook. Brutus was dead. Right way, I want to know
who was Brutus, and how did he get dead? Naturally I’m going to keep reading.
That the beauty about this team, they make you want to keep reading to the end.
I hope there will be a sequel to this book
